CONTEST

Completed Gingerbread Houses can be dropped off at the Pembroke Community Center (128 Center Street) during the week of December 1st between 9am and 4pm. All Gingerbread Houses must be at the Community Center by 11:30am on Saturday, December 6th. Judging will be by Tree Lighting attendees and winners will be announced on Facebook.

Please plan to pick up your House by December 12. Any Gingerbread House not claimed by December 12 will be discarded.

• You must use the Gingerbread House kit provided by the Community Center. You are welcome to add additional toppings / decorations, but the main base of the house must incorporate the original kit.

• Structures should be built on a sturdy base. Bases may be made from plywood or foam core. The base may be covered in non-edible items such as paint, paper, ribbon, or fabric, but those items may not be incorporated into the Gingerbread House.

• You must be able to carry your Gingerbread House to the table where it will be displayed. Tree Lighting Committee members and staff at the Community Center are not allowed to help.

• The base must be 18"x14" or smaller.

• Get creative! Edible items only can be used to decorate (toothpicks allowed) but feel free to add your own ingredients and candy!

• No political or provocative decorations. Please keep the decorations light, happy, family friendly, and in the spirit of the event.

PLEASE NOTE!

• Registration required and no refunds given. Once you purchase a Gingerbread House kit, that kit is yours whether you enter it into the contest or not.

• The committee reserves the right to not display a House.

The Houses will be displayed at the Tree Lighting event and will remain on display throughout the week following the event. You are welcome to pick up your House anytime after the conclusion of the Tree Lighting.​​​
